Premier League giants Manchester United have used more different kit combos in the 21-22 Premier League season than any other EPL club, it has been revealed by the Kit Report of @kit_geek.
Manchester United 2021-22 Kit Combos
Manchester United wore their 11th kit variation on the last matchday of the 2021-2022 Premier League campaign against Crystal Palace - they combined the white away shirt with white shorts & alternative white socks.
Manchester United wore four different home combos, 4 different away combos, and three different third combos.
Premier League forced Man Utd to have alternative away socks
There are two main reasons why Manchester United have used this many kit combos. The traditional red shirt-white shorts-black socks home kit as well as the white/blue graphic away jersey.
First, Manchester United used the home kit in many away matches, in which the standard white shorts and/or black socks would have clashed with the opponent.
Second, the Premier League forced Manchester United to create makeshift alternative white socks without the blue graphic design.
Liverpool did wear three combos in total
It was the second season in a row that Manchester United have worn 11 different kit combos. Interestingly, Manchester United did never wear their third kit in the default combo in the Premier League.
