No X-Cage, no techfit collar and a Sprintframe sole plate. Theo Walcott and Bastian Schweinsteiger returned to pre-season training wearing the Adidas F50 Adizero 2014 Boots disguised as Solar Yellow Adidas X 2015-2016 Boots. So let's go into some more details.
In May 2015, Adidas announced their football revolution replacing all of their four previous boot silos including the widely popular Adidas F50 Adizero Cleat, and introduced the totally new Adidas Ace 15.1 and Adidas X 15.1.
As it's extremely important that their high-profile players switch to the new cleats, Adidas have customized the boots for their best players such as Mesut Özil and James Rodriguez to ensure that all players wear the new Adidas Boots right from the start of the 2015-16 campaign (pictures via manutd.com / Arsenal.com / Getty Images).

Bastian Schweinsteiger was spotted wearing the Adidas F50 Adizero 2014 Boot, camouflaged as Adidas X 2015-2016 Boots, in his first-ever Manchester United training session. In fact, the German international already laced up in the custom boots in June 2015, and gave us a unique close-up look at his boots.
Tech-wise, the custom Adidas X Bastian Schweinsteiger Cleats are exactly the same as his beloved Adidas F50 Adizero Boots, while they are disguised as yellow Adidas X 2015-2016 Boots.
Theo Walcott has become the next player to wear the modified Adidas F50 Adizero X 15.1 Boots as he laced up in the unique boots in his first Arsenal pre-season training sessions. Like Bastian Schweinsteiger's Boots, the Walcott 2015-2016 Soccer Cleats boast the striking design of the Adidas X with the technologies of the Adidas F50 Adizero Cleats.
Interestingly, Theo Walcott wore the regular version of the Adidas X 15.1 Football Boots in June 2015.
It's anything but a regular Adidas X. It's just a camouflaged Adidas F50 Adizero Boot. What do you think of Adidas' "trick" to get their players in the new boots? Let us know in the comments below.
