Last night, the German national team were knocked out of the 2022 FIFA World Cup, despite winning 4-2 against Costa Rica. Adidas have reacted immediately by putting many of Germany's articles on sale.
Adidas Put Germany Kits on Sale
Adidas have already put the kits of their knocked out teams on sale. This also includes Belgium (at 36% and 43% off). Mexico's shirts are all currently sold out, so it is hard to tell if they would have been reduced as well.
However, Germany's kits come at the best price, at an astounding 50% off for both the replica and authentic versions! On top of this, personalisation is now free, a service that would normally set you back another 10 Euros.
Kids and boys' jerseys have the same sale going on, with women's kits being the only exception.
Adidas seem to know the true scope of how heavily kit sales are affected by a team's performance at the World Cup. There are some top sellers, such as Mexico, Argentina and Japan, that would sell no matter what and are currently sold out.
However, nations like Germany, Spain and Belgium do not see the same craze around their kits, meaning those sales are highly dependant on their World Cup performance.
Were Spain to exit the tournament soon, you can expect to see the same type of sale.
Will you be taking advantage of Adidas' major kit sales? Do you think the same will be done for Spain? Comment below.
