Arsenal have set a new record for first day kit sales, after their 22-23 away shirt brought in £1 million yesterday according to REDactionAFC, with a lot more to be made over the course of the season.
Arsenal 22-23 Away Kit Released
Arsenal Set New Club Record for First Day Kit Sales
The Gunners black, grey and bronze away shirt was officially launched yesterday, ahead of its initial release date. The decision to bring the launch forward was the result of leaked photos having already surfaced online well in advance of the planned release. The leaks very likely contributed to the high sales on the first day, with fans knowing that the new kit was to their liking before it came out.
REDactionAFC claims that the 22-23 Arsenal away shirt outsold all other Arsenal jerseys on release day, which will be music to the ears of both the club and Adidas. The partnership between the two has consistently produced quality across the board since it began in 2019, not only in terms of shirts but also training wear and special collaborative collections.
The initial deal was for 5 years, but given the success it has produced so far, both parties would surely be keen to renew. The new away shirt will be debuted on Thursday in a friendly against Orlando City.
