No Early Termination - Fly Emirates To Sponsor Qatari-Owned Paris Saint-Germain Until 2019

Update: After rumours surfaced that PSG would terminate the deal with Fly Emirates ahead of the schedule, Dubai's Emirates airline said on Thursday that it would sponsor the shirts of Qatar-owned Paris Saint-Germain until 2019, despite a regional crisis which has seen the UAE cut ties with Doha.

"Emirates has a sponsorship contract with the French football club PSG until 2019. So far the club has fulfilled its full obligations and we see no reason to terminate the contract," a spokesman for the airline told AFP. PSG confirmed the news to AFP, saying the partnership would "continue as planned".

Following on the reports of news agency AFP, Paris U, who brought out the news that PSG would want to terminate the contract with Fly Emirates prematurely, said on Twitter that PSG would want as much as Chelsea from Yokohama (55 million Euro / season) or they would end the deal in 2018.

Emirates' Fly Emirates branding has been the front of PSG's shirts since the 2006-07 season, but now there are concrete rumors that the French giants want to terminate the contract with the UAE company ahead of schedule. Qatar Airways is the favorite to replace Fly Emirates.
