The new 2026 away kit of the Italy national football team, made by Adidas, features an elegant off-white base with a subtle all-over pattern and navy-gold trim on the collar and sleeve cuffs. The use of gold detailing gives the shirt a clear retro feel, reinforced by the Adidas Trefoil logo. However, the choice of crest feels heavily inconsistent with the overall concept.

Italy uses the current modern FIGC badge, which was launched in 2023 and has been unpopular since then. Given the strong heritage approach of the Adidas Italy 2026 away jersey, the classic crest would arguably have been a better fit. Its traditional shield shape and gold elements would have matched the trim more naturally and strengthened the vintage aesthetic.
Adidas could have also incorporated stars, which would have also worked well with the refined color palette.
