FC Barcelona & Ajax Wear 19-20 Kits In 'Classic' Style, Like In Good Like Times

Already in late August 2019, FC Barcelona inaugurated the Estadi Johan Cruyff, which as of this season will be the new home of the Barça B and women’s teams, as well as the U19 side when they play in European competitions, replacing the Miniestadi. The main attraction of the inauguration ceremony was a game between the FC Barcelona and Ajax Amsterdam youth teams, representing the two main clubs in the Dutch star’s career. We take a look at the jerseys worn in the match.

Much Better? Barca & Ajax Were Sponsorless / Kit With Classic (Youth) Sponsor

The 2019 match-up of Barça and Ajax shows off how their kits would look like if they had the sponsors they were famous for until the early 2000s. Barça with a sponsor-free kit, Ajax with the vertical sponsor. Let us explain the reason for it.

As all youth teams of the club, FC Barcelona wore their 2019-20 home kit without sponsor logos. Ajax wore their kit with the logo of ABN Amro, who are the club's sponsor for all youth and Womens's teams.

Both the FC Barcelona and Ajax 2019-20 kits are not available to buy in the versions worn on the pitch.
