Inspired by the latest Adidas and Nike football boot collections, we want to find out what would have happened had Nike's designers joined Adidas and vice versa. Here are the Adidas Radiation Flare and Nike Blue Blast collections, as imagined by Footy Headlines.
Please note that all designs in this post are purely fictional with their sole purpose being to tickle your mind.
Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl "Radiation Flare" Concept
This is what we imagine a Radiation Flare edition of the Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl would look like.
Based on the Magista Obra II colorway from the Nike Radiation Flare collection, this Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl concept combines a fiery base that consists of two shades of red with color-blocking black Adidas stripes on the outstep.
This is definitely a look that we could see Adidas going with in the future, and one that would certainly be appreciated by some boot aficionados.
Adidas X 16+ PureChaos "Radiation Flare" Concept
This is our Radiation Flare take on the "laceless" Adidas X 16+ PureChaos.
In similar fashion, our Radiation Flare Adidas X 16+ PureChaos concept takes its design from the most recent Mercurial Superfly. It combines two shades of green in a gradient design that is not unlike the actual colorway that will see the light of the day in March as part of the Turbocharge collection.
Nike Magista Obra II "Blue Blast" Concept
This is our Nike Magista Obra 2 Blue Blast concept soccer cleat.
Only logically, our Nike Magista Obra 2 Blue Blast concept soccer boot takes inspiration from the Adidas Ace PureControl Blue Blast edition.
Nike Mercurial Superfly V "Blue Blast" Concept
And this is our Nike Mercurial Superfly 5 Blue Blast soccer cleat.
Boasting the design of the Adidas X 16+ PureChaos Blue Blast football boot, the Nike Mercurial Superfly Blue Blast edition is bolder than any colorway Nike released of their speed boot so far.
