Nike has released a new pack that contains not less than four new editions for its Mercurial TN sneaker. Inspired by the brand-new next-generation Nike Mercurial 2019 football boots, the new Nike Mercurial TN sneakers merge visual elements from the Mercurial and Air Max Plus for a street x football look.
The Nike Mercurial TN sneaker was first launched in May 2018. It merges the Nike Air May Plus with the Mercurial soccer cleats. The Nike Air Max Plus hit shelves in 1998, just as the Nike Mercurial. Both shoes attracted a cult-like following in Western European circles, including athletes who looked to blur the lines of style between the pitch and the streets.
“The first time I saw the TN, it was worn by my big brother and his friends in my neighborhood,” says star French international footballer Ousmane Dembélé. “For the Mercurial, it was on TV in a Nike ad. Like many, me and my friends called the TN, ‘La Requin.’”
'Next-Gen' Nike Mercurial TN Sneakers Collection
Drawing inspiration from the brand-new next-generation Nike Mercurial Superfly & Vapor 2019 boots, the new Nike Mercurial TN sneakers are available in four different models.
Two OG models are directly influenced by the iconic boot, while two pairs of the TN Ultra feature a checkerboard pattern, 'Just Do It' branding as well as lower profile midsole.
A Nike Kids version takes the Mercurial pattern on the heel and a triple black base. Flashy touches and an oversized swoosh complete all the designs.
