Mexico to Change 2026 World Cup Home Kit

Update: Adidas and the Mexican Football Federation have decided to completely change the design of the Mexico 2026 World Cup home kit. The new Mexico 2026 home kit will be inspired by the 1998 World Cup home jersey, instead of the original center-stripe design. This has now been confirmed by kit insider @hendocfc.

Mexican journalist Martín del Palacio (@martindelp) was the first to report that Adidas had scrapped the original design. The new design will be inspired by the France 1998 World Cup jersey.

The exact reasons for Mexico changing the design are not known. It could be due to a variety of factors, such as feedback from the federation and/or a reaction to the initial leaks.
