The Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl soccer cleat model receives a stealth color update as part of the new Magnetic Storm pack. All-black, the laceless football boots went on sale on July 6.
Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl - Core Black
This is the Magnetic Storm Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl.
A low-key look for the laceless Adidas Ace, the Magnetic Storm colorway has an all-black upper with subtly iridescent logos and a matte-black plate.
The Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl in the Magnetic Storm colorway comes with the same characteristics as all previous launches, with the main selling point being the upper that doesn't feature any laces at all.
- Primeknit upper for adaptive support and ultralight comfort
- boost cushioning in the midsole and sockliner
- PURECUT laceless sock forefoot with no edges, overlays or laces to get between player and ball
- NON STOP GRIP (NSG), a thin layer of raised dots applied to the upper that improves ball control
- SPRINTFRAME sole plate
- TOTAL CONTROL stud alignment for control and stability
This is a colorway that won't receive much on-pitch support, with the professionals instead opting for the Ocean Storm edition to kick off the season.
Available from July 6, the blackout Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl cleats retail at $300 (£250, €300). They are included in a collection with similar Nemeziz and X boots that's dubbed the Magnetic Storm pack.
