Class act. English Championship club Bolton Wanderers today revealed a special limited edition third shirt to mark the 70th anniversary of the Burnden Disaster. The new Bolton Wanderers 15-16 Third Shirt features the name of the 33 individuals who lost their lives in the Burnden Disaster.
The Burnden Disaster was a human crush that occurred on 9 March 1946 at Burnden Park football stadium. The crush resulted in the deaths of 33 people and was the deadliest stadium disaster in British history until the Ibrox Park disaster in 1971.

This is the new limited edition Bolton Wanderers 2015-16 Third Shirt.
The new Bolton Wanderers 2015-16 Third Shirt features a classy design with royal blue and navy hoops with white applications. It has a classic collar with white trim and white sleeve cuffs.
The Bolton Wanderers 2015-16 Third Shirt will remain without a sponsor as kit sponsor ROK Mobile waives their rights to be on the front of the shirts. But it's all about the details to remember the 70th Anniversary of the Burnden Disaster.
On the back of the collar is the date of the Disaster (09-03-1946), while the Lancashire red rose is located on the neckline. The limited edition Bolton Wanderers 2015-16 Third Shirt features the names of 33 individuals who lost their lives in the Burnden Disaster in March 1946 on the front and the back.
A limited number of 1,000 shirts will be available to purchase, and Bolton Wanderers will donate £10 from each sale of the shirt, which is prized at £44.99 and sold in a special box.
The Club’s Head of Commercial, Richard Gough, said: “Our thanks go to Macron for creating what we hope supporters will agree is a fitting tribute to the 33 who lost their lives in the disaster. We had such incredible support from our fans last season with sales of the Blesma shirt raising £10,000 for our limbless veterans and hope that this shirt will sell in equal numbers, raising much needed funds for an exceptionally good local cause.”
