After spending the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona, Wolves winger Adama Traoré has been spotted back in England, wearing his own Spain shirt with his name and number on a trip to the supermarket.
Traoré Wears His Own Spain Shirt in Public
Football shirts are a common sight in public, worn by fans, children, kit connoisseurs and hipsters alike. They are of course the work uniform of professional footballers, who we watch on tv or in the stadium decked out in their full kit. In their free time, we're used to seeing them dressed in high-priced fashion and streetwear labels. It was a little surprising therefore, to see that Adama Traoré opted to pull on his 2018 Spain away shirt with his name on the back when he went out to do the shopping recently.
Traoré represented Spain at youth level, before choosing to represent Mali, the country of his parents, when it seemed that Spain weren't going to come calling. But once they got wind of Traoré's decision, they took action to bring him into the international set up before he played a game for Mali, meaning his future with Spain was sealed.
Kids who dream of growing up to play for their country often wear their hero's name on their shirt, so now that Traoré has achieved his own dreams, why shouldn't he wear his own shirt when he feels like it? With his hulking, bodybuilder-like frame and the fact that he was in his local supermarket, it's safe to say that he would have been easily recognisable even without his name written on his back.
