The new Adidas Africa Cup Ball is called Adidas Marhaba (that means Welcome) - The Africa Cup 2015 Ball was unveiled today following the controversy about the host situation for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Equatorial Guinea after Morocco asked for a postponement due to the Ebola virus epidemic in West Africa. Egypt, South Africa and Sudan all declining to take over as hosts. Morocco was subsequently banned for the following two tournaments.

This is the new Africa Cup of Nations 2015 OMB (Official Match Ball).
Based on the visual design of the new Adidas Conext 15 Ball, the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations Official Match Ball features a beige main color with an eye-catching light blue / purple design, which is similar to the figure of 8. On the upper is the writing Marhaba, an Arabic word for Hello / Welcome.
The distinctive gold and blue colouring on the Adidas Marhaba ball represents the contrasting landscapes of the continent, from the Sahara desert to the bright azure sky. A unique feature of the new Africa Cup of Nations Ball is the stars design on the upper, including Eight Pointed Stars, creating a traditional Decorative Art.
The new Africa Cup of Nations 2015 Ball is based on the popular Adidas Brazuca 2014 World Cup Ball. Like the Adidas Brazuca, the new Adidas Marhaba AFCON 2015 Ball features a revolutionary six panel design with a seamless surface for a more predictable trajectory, better touch and lower water uptake.
