KRC Genk is celebrating its historic first title win 25 years ago with an exclusive special edition jersey. It will be worn on Monday vs Antwerpen and used as 24-25 third kit.
On May 16, 1999, the club won its first national title. KRC Genk was only formed in 1988 by the merger of Waterschei Thor with KFC Winterslag.
Genk 24-25 Third Kit
This is the Genk 2024-2025 third football shirt, made by Nike.
The Nike Genk 2024-2025 third shirt is not a remake of the original kit, as easily visible. The Genk 2024-2025 third kit jersey is black with golden embellishments.
The Genk 24-25 third kit is based on the simple Nike Park VII teamwear jersey, with various elements added by the club for a special look.
The Nike Genk 2024-25 third shirt contains numerous allusions to the first title win, including the date in the neck section and the club's logo at the time, which consists of 12 stars. The players' shirt numbers are designed with photos from the 1998-99 season to honor the protagonists of that time.
The Nike Genk 2024-2025 third shirt also has a subtle graphic design added to it.
