Puma today unveiled its own hyper-lightweight football boot to rival Adidas' 99 gram boot to be the lightest of them all. Dubbed 'evoSPEED He', a name inspired by the chemical symbol of helium, He, the latest innovation from Puma is already available.
Puma evoSPEED He - White / Black / Red Blast
This is the lightweight Puma evoSPEED He soccer cleat.
Utilizing Puma's Tricks concept, the left shoe of the new evoSPEED He boots is black, while the right one is red, with both featuring a see-through textile upper that appears similar to Adidas' Adizero 99 gram boot.
The new Puma evoSPEED He cleats utilize the sole plate of the regular evoSPEED SL while introducing a new upper to reduce the weight even further. This see-through upper allows for a relatively clear look at the underlying support structure which is constructed to offer lockdown and a minimum of protection.
Set to be available in highly limited quantities, the ultra-lightweight Puma evoSPEED He soccer boots retail at £275 (€300, $300). Whereas Adidas' 99 gram boots are only available in one size, the Puma evoSPEED He will be available from UK 6-8.5 (US 7-9.5, EU 39-42.5). Only 200 pairs of the shoe are already available.
