West Bromwich Albion To Wear FA Cup Tribute Kit - Jeff Astle

West Brom will pay tribute to former striker Jeff Astle wearing a special 1968 FA Cup final inspired retro kit against Leicester City on April 11, 2015.

Jeff Astle, who scored 174 goals in 361 games for West Bromwich Albion, netted the winner as West Brom beat Everton 1-0 at Wembley in 1968.

West Bromwich Albion 2015 FA Cup Tribute Shirt

This is the retro WBA FA Cup Tribute Shirt to honor Jeff Astle.

The new retro West Bromwich Albion FA Cup Tribute Kit resembles the design of the famous white West Brom Shirt worn in the 1968 FA Cup final when their centre forward Jeff Astle scored the FA Cup Final winner.

Featuring the simplistic kit design of the 1968 Wembley FA Cup final kit, the new 2015 replica version is white with a crew neck collar a special badge to honor Jeff Astle with the lettering Astle Day 2015. The new special West Bromwich kit is completely retro with no brandings and sponsor logos.

The shorts of the new retro West Brom 2015 Jersey are plain white, while the socks boast the contrasting color red.

West Brom will wear kits numbered 2-11 and a blank goalkeeper shirt.

The change of shirt is part of "Astle Day" when a Foundation in Jeff’s name is launched by his family. The foundation will promote care of other sufferers and research and education into CTE (Chronic traumatic encephalopathy). He passed away from the disease at the age of just 59 in 2002.

It's the second time in history the Premier League has granted permission for a kit change after Manchester United switched to a retro design for the 50-years anniversary of the Munich air disaster in 2008.

Watch out for the classy West Brom 1968 FA Cup Final tribute kit in the Premier League clash against Leicester on 11 April.
