The second generation of the Nike Magista Obra football boots introduces a totally new upper and sole plate design. The black and orange Nike Magista Obra 2016-2017 football boots are set to be available shortly, after the yellow launch colorway went on sale yesterday.
The likes of Mario Götze, Blaise Matuidi and David Luiz will unfortunately not wear the black Nike Magista Obra 2 football boots and instead opt for the yellow and grey colors. For those who prefer a traditionally shaped sockliner, Nike will also unveil a Nike Magista Opus 2 boot in the same color.
Nike Magista Obra II - Black / Total Crimson
This is the black and orange Nike Magista Obra 2016-2017 football boot.
The 'blackout' Nike Magista Obra 2016-2017 boot colorway forms part of the Nike's Pitch Dark collection and combines a black base with orange for the outlined Swooshes on the rear area and the instep of the boots. On the heel area is the Magista branding, also orange. The black outsole of the Nike Magista Obra 2 boots comes with an orange Swoosh, while three of the four triangular studs in the forefoot area are orange to stand out.
Generally, the black and orange Nike Magista Obra 2 soccer boots combine a heightened collar with a knitted Flyknit upper for a sock-like fit. They are made for the create midfielder and are engineered to offer unrivaled comfort, ball touch and agility.
Albeit similarly shaped as the first-generation Nike Magista Obra soccer boot, the Nike Magista Obra II cleats introduce an all-new 'Ball Texture' grip pattern, mostly in the front part of the shoe. The new Nike Magista Obra II cleats also include a thin layer of NikeSkin on top of the knitted structure to optimize performance under all conditions.
The external heel counter known from the previous generation was removed, with the Nike Magista Obra II 2016 boots featuring an internal solution instead. The sole plate of the Nike Magista Obra 2 football cleats, identical to that of the Nike Magista Opus II, introduces a new stud layout which sees a number of bladed studs added to the mix. Aligned in a circle, they echo the look of plate of the discontinued Nike CTR360 cleats.
The black and orange Nike Magista Obra II 2016-2017 boots are expected to be releaed very soon, following on the 'Volt' launch colorway. The new 'Black & Total Crimson' Nike Magista Obra II football boots retail at $300 (€300).
