Update: France will wear the infamous 'banned' away kit in today's 2018 World Cup qualifier against Netherlands, funnily the team it was worn against for the very first in a friendly earlier this year. Read our original report from Euro 2016 below.
Playing 'away' to Switzerland, France had to switch to its change kit for tonight's Euro 2016 clash. Interestingly, as many of you have noticed, France's away jersey did not quite look the way it should.
Update: We now know why France's shirt looked the way it did:
France 2016 Extra Kit
This is the one-off France Nike jersey worn against Switzerland.
Instead of featuring blue and red sleeves as the France Euro 2016 away shirt that was unveiled in March, the France away kit worn against Switzerland comes with very, very light versions of the colors, almost white, presumably in order to follow UEFA's uniform regulations. On top of that, it was combined with navy shorts and white socks instead of the usual white and red, respectively.
