This image shows the leather edition of the Adidas X 17.1.
Part of the Ocean Storm collection, these Adidas X 17.1 Leather boots introduce a garish look that is dominated by a predominantly yellow upper. This upper of the Adidas X 17 Leather Ocean Storm cleats fades towards a dark blue collar with a subtle polka dot pattern, while the sole plate is solid blue with hints of yellow.
Just like on the X 16, a large Adidas logo sits on the outstep of the Ocean Storm Adidas X Leather 2017 football boots. New this year is a similarly big 'X' logo, placed on the inside.
Tech-wise, akin to the synthetic edition, the leather Adidas X 17.1 Ocean Storm soccer cleats have a construction that is almost just like that of its predecessor. The one-piece techfit compression upper from the synthetic version is combined with leather in the forefoot area for a cleaner and more natural strike. Sole plate and stud layout remain unchanged from the X 16.
Adidas X 17.1 Leather Ocean Storm - Features

- Leather in the forefoot
- NSG (Non-Stop Grip) texture
- Sprintframe outsole
- 'Chaos' stud alignment
The Solar Yellow Adidas X 17.1 Leather boots will be launched in early August as part of the Ocean Storm collection. They retail at $200, which is the same price as the X 16.1 Leather.
In terms of on-pitch support, we should see the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Arjen Robben donning the yellow and navy Adidas X 17.1 Leather boots for the start of the 2017-2018 season.
