Chelsea winger Willian laced up in blackout boots in Chelsea's training session on February 19. And while his right boot was quite easy to identify, it's the left boot of the Chelsea's 27-year old forward that is mysterious.
Willian Trains in Two Different Blackout Boots
Close-up pictures of the boots worn by the Brazilian forward.
Basting a stealth look, Willian's blackout boots are definitely blackout versions of Nike's cutting-edge low-cut speed boot, the Nike Mercurial Vapor X. However, while his right boot is quite easy to identify as Nike Mercurial Vapor X (one seam in the heel area, upper), his left boot features a heel area design that is very similar to that one seen on the leaked images of the next-gen Nike Mercurial Vapor 11 boots.
But while the heel area design gave us a good hint was Willian could be wearing, the second close-up picture of Willian Boots leaves many questions open as the picture quality is anything but good. However, as the upper on the second picture looks totally different to that one of the Nike Mercurial Vapor X Boots and the Nike Mercurial Vapor XI, we really don't know what Willian was wearing this time (it could be a custom version of the next-gen Nike Mercurial, but that's pure speculation).
