Update: More pictures of the next-generation Puma One 2018 football boots have been showcased by Dutch football boot specialists Voetbalshirtjes. Earlier this week, Buffon laced up in blackout Puma One 18.1 football boots in Italy's training.
Albeit only introduced just a couple of months ago, the brand-new Puma ONE football boots will receive a first generational update as early as next sprint. Now, the first pictures of a blackout prototype of the next-gen Puma ONE 18.1 cleats have surfaced.
Puma ONE 18.1 Prototype
The next-gen Puma ONE takes the concept of its predecessor - leather upper combined with a knit collar - and adds a distinct 3-D texture to said upper for more grip and an improved touch. Apart from that, what stands out most is that the connection between both parts is much more seamless and less obvious, especially in the tongue area.
Lacing, shape of collar and material appear unchanged, however, the stitching present in the front is dropped for an overall smoother upper.
The sole plate of the Puma ONE 18.1 football boots is practically the same as that of the current iteration. It features both conical and bladed studs in order to offer a mix between speed and agility.
The Puma ONE 18 cleats will be launched in late January 2018 in a black and red colorway.
