Adidas today unveiled the next colorway for its much-praised, football-inspired Ace 16+ PureControl Ultra Boost model. Part of the Adidas Checkered Black, which is slated to drop on January 2, 2017, the new Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl Ultra Boost sneakers introduce an all-black look.

This is the Checkered Black Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl Ultra Boost sneaker.
Somewhat inspired by the Checkered Black colorway of the Adidas Ace 17+ PureControl soccer cleats, the new Ace 16+ PureControl Ultra Boost takes the former's predominantly black look even further, offering the first true blackout paint job in the history of the pitch-to-pavement model.
The lateral 3 Stripes are kept tonal, as is the heel cup and, for the first time ever, the Boost midsole is painted black instead of the usual white.
Set to be available to buy from January 2, 2017, the Adidas Ace 16+ PureControl Ultra Boost Checkered Black shoes will be released in very limited quantities once again. They retail at $200 (€200).
