Adidas have created a special one-off pair of football boots based on a collaborative sneaker they designed with skateboarder and fashion designer Blondey McCoy.

Blondey McCoy is a skateboarder with a significant presence in the world of fashion. Having worked closely with skate brand Palace
until 2019, he has his own clothing label called Thames and has also collaborated with Adidas on numerous occasions to create his own takes on some of their classic sneaker models.

The latest colourway of his final Adidas shoe, the A.B Gazelle, is to be launched later this week, and Blondey shared images of a very special football boot version of it a few days ago. He explained that contrary to nowadays, football seemed like the antithesis of skateboarding to him growing up, so today's skateboarders wearing clothing from football or other more widely popular subcultures is very interesting to him, hence this special creation.

The boots share the same design as his A.B Gazelle sneakers, with a modern TPU upper but a black firm ground soleplate in place of a regular gum sole. They're predominantly white with black sections on the heel and forefoot, and green Adidas stripes on the side accompanied by gold "Blondey" text, matching the gold trefoil logo on the heel.
Unfortunately, we won't be seeing these boots on the pitch, as Blondey states that they are "totally unofficial one offs" produced by a friend of his at Adidas to mark the release of the official trainer version.
