A league that already started two weeks ago is the Portuguese Primeira Liga, Portugal's first division that is known as Liga NOS since the 2014-15 season. Let us take a look at the different jersey makers in the 2017-2018 season, revealing some interesting developments in the past few years.
2017-2018 Liga NOS Battle Of Brands
This infographic by @planetafobal shows the kit maker of each club in Portugal.
While some years ago the three big Portuguese teams (Benfica, Porto, Sporting) were supplied by Adidas, Nike and Puma, respectively, only Benfica is still under contract with their supplier, while both Porto (Nike -> New Balance) and Sporting (Puma -> Macron) switched jersey suppliers in 2014.
Apart from the big three, it is the Portuguese brand Lacatoni that has the most clubs under contract, including successful side Braga. The Italian manufacturer Macron follows with three clubs, while both Adidas and Nike make the jerseys for two teams, with the Swoosh is having no club under contract that is well-known beyond Portugal (Estoril & Maritimo).
Other brands present in the Portuguese first division are cdt (Portuguese sportswear brand founded in 2012), BLK Sports, Legea, Mizuno and Hummel.
