Update 11/12/15: The first close-up pictures of the next-gen Nike Magista Obra Boots have been leaked. It's now pretty much confirmed that Neymar trained in a blackout version of the second-gen Nike Magista Obra Boot.
Has FC Barcelona superstar already shown off the second generation of the Nike Magista Obra Football Boots on the quiet?. While no high-profile Nike Magista players were spotted wearing the much-awaited next-gen Nike Magista Obra Cleats yet, it could have been FC Barcelona's striker who gave us the the world's first look at the Nike Magista 2.
Neymar, who is the face of the Nike Hypervenom silo despite the fact that he is wearing a camouflaged version of the boots, laced up in the remarkable blackout boots in three FC Barcelona training sessions in August 2015. And as we had not idea what exactly Neymar was wearing at that time, we labeled Neymar's Boots as 'Completely Modified Nike Hybrid Boots'. But now we received new info and are almost 100% certain that Neymar has been actually wearing a blackout version of the next-gen Nike Magista Obra Cleats. Let's get straight into what is more than likely the Nike Magista Obra 2.
Neymar Reveals Next-Gen Nike Magista Obra 2 2016 Football Boots
Close-up pictures of the blackout Nike Magista Obra 2016 Cleats.
Again made for ultimate ball control, the next-gen Nike Magista Obra 2016 Soccer Boots most remarkably come with a Honeycomb upper structure that reminds us of the upper used for the first generation of the Nike Hypervenom Boots. Compared to the upper of the first-gen Nike Hypervenom Cleats, the Honeycomb material used for the next-gen Nike Magista Obra seems to be even softer while being not as thin as the one used for the first-gen Hypervenom.
Nike again combines the upper of the Nike Magista Obra Boots with their trademark Dynamic Fit collar and a tongue-less design to offer a sock-like feel with no distractions. It's also logical that the next-gen Nike Magista Obra 2 Cleats will again feature Nike Flyknit.
While the upper of the boots worn by Neymar is expected to be almost identical to the final version of the next-gen Nike Magista Obra Boots, it's not possible to say something about the outsole design yet as Neymar received a modified version with the sole plate of the Nike Tiempo. However, it's expected that the next-gen Nike Magista Obra 2016 Boot will again feature conical studs for rotational agility.
And while the exact tech details of the Nike Magista Obra 2 Boots remain a secret to now, we already revealed that the second-gen Nike Magista Obra Boots will be launched after the Euro 2016 in France (July 2016).
So it looks like that we have already seen the next-gen Nike Magista Obra four months ago without knowing it. What's your verdict on the boots after knowing that they are more than likely the next-gen Nike Magista Obra? Let us know in the comments below.
