Exclusive: Adidas to Release Argentina 2006 World Cup Messi Remake Kits

Update - Wednesday, 11 June 2025: Footy Headlines can leak new information about the Adidas Argentina 2006 World Cup remake. It is an entire collection with more items included. The remake shirts already come with Messi No. 19 print and are not available without Messi's name and number.

Adidas is set to stir nostalgia ahead of the FIFA World Cup with a special remake of Argentina’s iconic 2006 World Cup kits. The release, scheduled for early 2026, will include both the home and away versions worn by La Albiceleste during their memorable, albeit bittersweet, campaign in Germany.

Argentina 2006 World Cup Remake Kits + Collection

The Adidas Argentina 2006 home and away remake kits are identical to the original versions. The kits feature the unmistakable Teamgeist template, one of Adidas’ most recognizable designs of the 2000s.

Although Argentina’s run in the 2006 World Cup ended in disappointment, falling to host nation Germany on penalties in the quarter-finals, the kits from that tournament have become fan favorites, remembered for their aesthetics and the talent-packed squad that included the likes of Juan Román Riquelme, Hernán Crespo, and a young Lionel Messi.

In addition to the shirt, Adidas will release two track jackets, as well as one pair of pants.
