Adidas today officially announced that they are the new Bosnia kit supplier from June 2014. Today press release confirms previous rumors about a sponsorship agreement with a big brand in the past weeks. While it's the first tournament appearance for Bosnia and Herzegovina, the new Adidas kit sponsorship replaces their current supplier Legea.
Bosnia and Herezgovina will be the last team to present their 2014 World Cup Kit on June 1st, just two weeks ahead of the World Cup.
Bosnia and Herzegovina Adidas Kit Deal
As the contract with Legea expires on May 31, Bosnia and Herzegovina will play the first match with Adidas kits against Mexico on June 3rd. Adidas and the Bosnian Football Federation signed a long-term contract.
Elvedin Begić, president of the Bosnia and Herzegovina Football Federation said:
"This is a landmark moment for our nation – making our first appearance in a major tournament and partnering with adidas. We are proud to be working with such a historic and prestigious brand. The proven performance and continuous innovation of adidas gives an extra lift to Bosnian football."
With the signing of Bosnia and Herzegovina Adidas sponsors nine federations, while global sportswear leader Nike equips ten nations.
Adidas (9 federations): Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Colombia, Germany, Japan, Mexico, Nigeria, Russia, Spain
Nike (10 federations): Brazil, Australia, Croatia, England, France, Greece, Netherlands, Portugal, South Korea, United States
Puma (8 federations): Algeria, Cameroon, Chile, Ghana, Italy, Ivory Coast, Switzerland, Uruguay
Others (5 federations): Belgium (Burrda Sports), Costa Rica (Lotto), Ecuador (Marathon Sports), Honduras (Joma), Iran (Uhlsport)
