Bayern Munich Goalkeeper Wears Makeshift Adidas Running Shirt Against Barcelona

In today's UEFA Women's Champions League semi-final between Barcelona and Bayern Munich, observant kit fans noticed a highly unusual outfit worn by the Bayern goalkeeper.

Referee Forbids Bayern to Wear Purple Keeper Kit, Bayern Uses Adidas Running Shirt With Barcelona Font

Instead of a standard match Adidas goalkeeper kit, the Bayern Munich shot-stopper took to the pitch wearing a yellow Adidas running shirt. The top featured no sponsor logos, but had the player's name and number applied to the back using Barcelona's official club font.

This bizarre situation was the result of a last-minute kit issue. Bayern Munich originally intended to wear their purple goalkeeper kit, but match officials presumably deemed it too similar to Barcelona's dark Blaugrana home shirts.

As a quick solution, the yellow Adidas running top was sourced to avoid the color clash. To complete the makeshift uniform, the socks were actually loaned to Bayern by Barcelona, with the Catalan club's logos hastily covered up using tape.
