Bristol City have just unveiled their new logo, which will be used from the start of next season. With the new Bristol City 2019 badge, the iconic robin makes a return.
Bristol City 2019 Logo
This is the new Bristol City logo.
The Bristol City logo was designed following a consultation process that involved a survey with more than 3,500 responses and a focus group which represented the club's fanbase.
It has a very straightforward look to it with a roundel shape that proudly places the robin in its center. 'Bristol City' is spelled out in the red circle, whilst the club's founding year 1894 can be seen towards the top left of the bird.
City Vice-Chairman Jon Lansdown said: “The robin has long been a symbol of Bristol City and has been part of our history through imagery, words and song. It is important that we have an instantly recognisable crest that reflects the club and we want to fully own this symbolic part of our identity."
Bristol City Chief Executive Officer Mark Ashton said: “I am sure that supporters will be delighted with what we have achieved with the crest. It is bold, creative and symbolises what this club is all about."
The Bristol City 19-20 home and away kits will carry the new logo when they are released this summer.
