Serie A Champions AC Milan have launched a collaborative capsule collection, not with a streetwear brand or fashion house, but with legendary rock group the Rolling Stones. The English band played at the San Siro last night as the only Italian stop on their 60th anniversary European tour.
AC Milan x Rolling Stones Capsule Collection
The collection consists of two t shirts, a hoodie, a tote bag and a drawstring bag. The central element of AC Milan's badge has been replaced by the Rolling Stones iconic tongue logo, with the colours only needing a slight adjustment to incorporate the Rossoneri's stripes. This simple but effective combination of the two emblems is accompanied on some of the pieces by the title of one of the Stones' most well known songs, Sympathy for the Devil. A suitable choice given Milan's other nickname, "Il Diavolo". This opportunistic collaboration is part of the club's strategy to extend their reach to non-football audiences. Check out the individual pieces below.
T-Shirts
Hoodie
Bags
Very simple overall but the combination of the two identities has been done quite cleverly.
