The first Adidas 2017 collection, called the Chequered Black pack, was released today. Time to take a closer look at the full set, which interestingly does not include an update for the Messi silo.
The theme of the Adidas Chequered Black, which applies to the Ace, Copa and X boots that are part of it, is a dark base with white accents and a subtle checker pattern that covers the entirety of the upper.

The Adidas Chequered Black Ace 17+ PureControl is by far the most important cleat included in this collection: after the first drop of the second generation of the laceless Ace was quite justifiably criticized for being too similar to its predecessor, the Chequered Black edition features a completely new upper construction and is identical to what the professionals have been wearing since early December.

The most interesting fact regarding the Chequered Black Adidas Copa 17 is that it won't just be a regular colorway update and instead will be available for the remainder of the lifetime of the Copa 17. A traditional option that is certain to enjoy great popularity over the next year.
The boots from the Adidas Chequered Black are available from January 2 at the usual prices. Takedowns and kids' versions will be released as well.
