When Nike officially revealed the new Turkey 2026 kits (now confirmed as World Cup designs) last month, opinions were mainly negative. Many felt the overall execution and marbled background pattern felt a bit standard and similar to previous years. Now, independent jersey design studio Comma Football has released their own take on a Turkish national team shirt, and it is leaving fans asking one big question: Is this better than Nike's official kit?
Comma Football 'Ay-Yildizlilar' Turkey Kit
This is Comma Football's Turkey tribute jersey.
Designed to capture Turkey's entire World Cup legacy in a single shirt, the Comma Turkey kit introduces a deeply cultural and bespoke aesthetic. Moving away from the bright crimson of the official kit, Comma opted for a rich, dark burgundy base.
A side-by-side look at the official Nike kit and Comma's design
The absolute standout feature of the shirt is the breathtaking all-over graphic pattern. The intricate linework is directly inspired by traditional Turkish tapestry and native flora, creating an elegant, regal look.
Unlike the official Nike kit, which places the Turkish crescent and star inside a rectangular flag box, the Comma kit places the pure white emblem cleanly in the center of the chest, integrated nicely into the floral design.
