Spain Euro 2016 Kit to Return to Blue Shorts

The Spain Euro 2016 Kit is set to return to the classic blue shorts, after an all-red kit donned by La Furia Roja at last year's World Cup in Brazil, just like the Germany 2016 Kit which ditches the all-white 2014 look.

Several Adidas teams, most notably Germany and Spain, wore monochromatic uniforms at the 2014 World Cup, supposedly due to FIFA's rules which advised teams to present one predominantly dark and one predominantly light kit. However, the rule didn't appear to be enforced by the football governing body as several non-Adidas teams, including hosts Brazil, played in traditional combinations.

Whereas the Spain Euro 2016 Away Kit introduces a new look for the title holders, the Spain 2016 Home Shirt will be an homage to the classic Spain Shirts, boasting a clean design with only a subtle graphic pattern.

Additionally, Spain will return to the traditional royal blue shorts in 2016, while also sporting dark navy socks, with their color officially named Punjab.

Spain used to don bright red shirts and royal blue shorts together with black socks up until the 1994 World Cup, when the Iberians switched to darker blue shorts and also applied that color to the socks. For the 2006 and 2010 World Cups, Spain returned to royal blue shorts, albeit with blue and red socks, respectively.

What do you think about Adidas and Spain's decision to return to the classic color scheme?
