22-year old Japanese defender Wataru Endo, who already played four games for the Samurai Blue, has received a unique version of the Nike Tiempo Legend 6 Boots for the AFC U-23 Championship in Qatar that also acts as the AFC qualifiers for the Olympic football tournament.
In mid-November 2015, Nike revealed the next-gen Nike Tiempo Legend 6 Boots. And while the fifth generation of the Nike Tiempo Legend Cleats was launched with a white, black and orange colorway, Nike finally brought back the top-tier Nike Tiempo Legend 6 Boots to NikeiD after the previous generation was just available to customize as lower-tier model (Nike Tiempo Legacy).
Nike Tiempo Legend 6 Wataru Endo Go2Rio Edition
These are the one-of-a-kind Nike Tiempo Legend VI Endo Boots.
Boasting the main color blue as a nod to the iconic home kit color of the Japanese national team (he also revealed that blue is his favorite color), the Nike Tiempo Legend iD Wataru Endo Cleat comes with yellow applications that are inspired by the famous colors of the Brazil national team. Endo combines the blue and yellow color scheme with maroon, used for the Swoosh and and the Nike branding on the tongue. The maroon color is inspired by the colors of flag of Qatar, hosts of the AFC U-23 Championship.
But the most remarkable element of the unique blue, yellow and maroon boots is the sole plate that boasts the lettering "Go2Rio" to showcase what's Japan's aim in the AFC U-23 Championship: Reaching the top three to qualify for the Rio Olympics.
Apart from the outstanding color scheme, the new Tiempo Legend Wataru Endo Boots offer the same technologies and features as the regular version of Nike's modern heritage boot.
