FC Metz and its jersey supplier Lotto today unveiled the new Metz 16-17 home, away and third kits. The new FC Metz 2016-17 shirts will be worn in the Ligue 1 after the club gained promotion from France's second division, finishing third.
FC Metz 16-17 Home Kit
This is the new FC Metz 2016-17 home shirt.
Predominantly burgundy, the FC Metz 2016-2017 home kit features the traditional color of the club that has been used since 1936. Based on the Nike 16-17 Striker IV Teamwear Jersey, it has the Graoully mythical animal from the club crest on the front which lived in the arena of the amphitheater before Metz devastated the city according to legend.
The new Metz 2016-2017 kits also come with the Cross of Lorraine instead of the usual club logo. The cross was a symbol of resistance during the Second World War, and has been used for Metz's kits already between 1946-1999 before it was replaced by the current crest.
Continuing the look of the red FC Metz 2016-2017 home jersey, both the shorts and socks are red with white applications.
