The rise of counterfeit shirts continues to become increasingly evident in the football industry. This can have a direct impact on the club's revenues. Sheffield Wednesday are therefore taking steps to prevent the continued growth in the sale and use of counterfeit shirts.

To this end, requests for names and numbers to be printed on fake shirts in the Megastore will be refused.

In particular, Sheffield Wednesday have asked that counterfeit shirts not be displayed inside the Hillsborough stadium.

Anyone found to be wearing a fake shirt inside Hillsborough could be asked to leave, with information passed on to the relevant parties.

The official Sheffield Wednesday shirts can be purchased from the Owls Megastore or the club's online store. Sheffield Wednesday are selling short-sleeved shirts for £69 and long-sleeved shirts for £77.
