The new Umbro Ireland 2014 Home Kit was released today ahead of the first summer friendly vs Turkey in Aviva Stadium on May 25. The Ireland 2014-2015 Home Shirt is again made by Umbro and features the large sponsor logo of Three.ie, an Irish mobile network. The sponsor logo is part of the retail kit and the pictures, but is not allowed during national team matches.
Ireland 2014 Home Kit
This is the new Ireland 2014-2015 Home Jersey.
Republic of Ireland Home Kit is modelled by David Forde, Jonathan Walters, David Meyler and Shane Long. Consistent with the traditional kit design, the Ireland Strip features a classical white Polo-collar as well as small dark green pinstripes.
Meanwhile, James Byrne from Umbro is excited about the new style.
"The new kit is back to all-green top, knicks and socks, with the classic white collar," he says, with the persuasive air of a salesman, "while there are lovely accents on the back, the top one a shamrock motif. The goalkeeper jersey is a strong purple, which is a big change from the yellow/gold jersey."
The shorts of the Ireland 2014 Home Kit are plain green, while the socks features white pinstripes. The Ireland Shirt uses the tradtional Umbro logo which includes the lettering Umbro and the famous Double Diamond.
For the goalkeeper kit, Umbro decided to change the previous yellow kit to a purple kit with yellow accents. The new Umbro Ireland 2014 Goalkeeper Home Kit features a diagonal design on the front.
