FC Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu this week revealed that the prospected new FC Barcelona logo was scraped because of some reasons, mainly bcuase it didn't feature the FCB lettering. Now Deroy Peraza from design agency Hyperakt has made an alternative proposal featuring the FCB letters and some other changes.
FC Barcelona Crest Proposal By Deroy Peraza
Deroy Peraza's maintains all main elements of the club's current logo while reducing the number of colors to just three. His logo does feature the FCB lettering in blue and a blue border instead of a black one, as well as a few smaller changes.
However, while many fans like the current 'classic' 2001 FC Barcelona logo, the club will present an official alternative to the crest that was 'rejected' by their socios (FC Barcelona has withdrawn the vote on the proposed crest on Saturday).
