No More Macron - UCAN Adelaide United 20-21 Home Kit Released

The new Adelaide United home shirt was released yesterday. It is made by UCAN, replacing Macron, and will be worn in the 20-21 A-League.

Agreeing to a club-record partnership, Adelaide United signed a three-year agreement with Chinese supplier UCAN, for whom it is the first professional football club outside of China.

Combining Adelaide United's traditional colors, the UCAN Adelaide United 2020-2021 home shirt pairs a red body with navy raglan sleeves and a navy V-neck with yellow trim. The outstanding feature of the UCAN Adelaide United 2020-21 home shirt is an embossed graphic print on the front panel in a slightly darker shade of red.

UCAN’s Global General Manager, Ally Zhao, explained: “Through our on-going and positive relationship with Qingdao Red Lions, it was an easy decision for us to expand UCAN’s partnership with the Adelaide United and Qingdao group. We are looking forward to the first game at Coopers Stadium and seeing the Reds wear our UCAN kit for the first time and are ecstatic to be partnering with this fantastic football club.”

Adelaide United’s Head of Marketing and Communications, Marius Zanin, added: “This is a significant moment for our football club. Not only has our commercial team, headed by Adam (Thomson), produced a record-breaking corporate deal, but the collaboration we, as a Club, have experienced with UCAN’s brand team has been brilliant. We could not be prouder of these fresh and bold designs and know they will resonate with our passionate fans.”

Available since September 16, Adelaide United's 20-21 home kit retails at AUD99 (~ USD70).
