White shorts are not traditional for Germany but are being used because of FIFA's dark/light kit policy regularly. In 2014, Germany's home kit was combined with white shorts by default, a decision not liked by many.

Japan vs Germany - Germany in All-White?

In the opener against Japan, we expect Japan to wear all-blue, while Germany will wear all-white. This has been the case when both nations met in a FIFA last match last time, in the U20 2018 Women's World Cup.

Spain vs Germany - All-White Likely

Germany will be the away team against Spain. Spain's shorts and socks are both dark, so FIFA likely want Germany to wear their white home shorts.

Costa Rica vs Germany - Black Shorts Likely

Germany and Costa Rica met for the last time in the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup. Back then, Germany wore black shorts. We expect the 2022 World Cup match to feature the same color combos as five years ago.
