Tonight, Manchester City played the second derby of the season against Manchester United in the EFL Cup. Manchester City won the game away from home thanks to two goals from John Stones (50') respectively Fernandinho (83').
Unfortunately, Colin Bell (1946-2021) aged 74 passed away the day before one of the world's most competitive derbies. Colin Bell was an English footballer that mostly played for City (394 appearances, 117 goals). He also had an international career for England from 1968 until 1975.
Manchester City Honors Colin Bell By Wearing #8 Football Shirts Before Derby
To remember one of the club's legends and one of England's finest-ever midfield players, Manchester City entered the pitch wearing stylish sky blue cotton tees over their pre-match jerseys. The Manchester City Colin Bell tribute shirts feature a very simple approach that is based on the jersey worn by Colin Bell back in the day.
The kit is mainly sky blue with white accents such as the crew-neck collar and sleeve cuffs, while Manchester City's logo is centered. There are no sponsor logos.
