While all eyes were on Paul Pogba's one-of-a-kind silver Nike Magista Obra Boots in the Champions League match between Juventus and Borussia Mönchengladbach, it were Juan Cuadrado's Adidas X 15 Cleats that caught our attention. And whereas Paul Pogba Boots were created using NikeiD, the Juan Cuadrado Boots are not like anything we have seen before.

Boasting the striking design of the Solar Red Adidas X Boots, Juan Cuadrado's boots seem anything but special at first glance. But if we take a closer look at the forefoot and the ankle area, there's something that does not fit. So what's going on here?
While the touch area of the Adidas X Juan Cuadrado Boots features the stitching of the Adidas X 15.1 Leather Boots, the heel area comes with the techfit collar of the synthetic version of the Adidas X 15 Boots. What exactly is Cuadrado wearing?
Juan Cuadrado wears almost the standard edition of the Adidas X 15.1 Leather Boots (SG version). However, his boots are combined with the techfit collar and the tongue of the synthetic Adidas X 15.1 Boot for flexible ankle support and a sock-like fit. The retail version features of the Adidas X 15.1 Kangaroo Leather Cleats features no collar, but a traditional low-cut design (we are not aware what's the reason for this odd dissimilarity).
