AC Milan Sign Konami eFootball Training Kit Deal

AC Milan have signed a deal with Konami that will see the eFootball (formerly Pro Evolution Soccer) logo appear on the front of their training wear from July 2022 onwards. It is the club's first ever official training wear partnership.

Konami eFootball to Sponsor Milan Training Wear

The mock-up below show's how the eFootball logo could look on Milan's training gear.

The deal will see the logo of Konami's eFootball game appear on Milan's training gear both during training sessions and in pre match warm ups. Previously, their main shirt sponsor also served as training wear sponsor, but they have separated the sponsorship into two different agreements, with sleeve sponsorship also being set apart. This came after negotiations with main sponsor Emirates in 2020 saw them accept reduced terms to continue the deal, agreeing on €10 million per season as opposed to the previous figure of €14 million. This season Milan have been training in unsponsored kit.

The announcement of this deal comes days after Milan announced the end of their exclusive partnership with EA Sports, however EA Sports still retain the licence to use the AC Milan name, badge and players in the FIFA game series, so gamers won't see any changes to their experience.

No financial details of the deal have been announced. On the announcement of the partnership with Konami, the club said:

AC Milan and KONAMI will strengthen their common status as entertainment powerhouses, generating an innovative ecosystem of initiatives that will unite players and fans both on and off the pitch.

It will be interesting to see what kind of initiatives they have in mind and how Konami will use AC Milan's presence in the next edition of eFootball.
