Phillip Lahm, who previously wore the Adidas Adipure 11pro Boots, logically switched to the Kangaroo leather version of the Adidas Ace 15.1 Boots. As the upper of the Adidas Ace Phillip Lahm Boots features no visible modifications, it's all about that sole plate.
The Adidas Ace 2015-2016 Cleats introduced a revolutionary outsole design featuring endless numbers of conical studs with a second-level of cleats, the custom Adidas Ace Cleats boast a completely unique configuration. So let's get into the details.
Designed for Adidas' high-profile players, the outsole of the modified Adidas Ace Boots is a combination of the Adidas F50 Adizero, the Adidas Ace and the Adidas Predator Instinct. Adidas uses the lightweight construction of the famous Adidas F50 Adizero Sprintframe sole plate, combined with the four studs of the Adidas Ace Boots in the heel area and the seven studs of the Adidas Predator Instinct in the front (Thanks to JorgeAndres).
Other Adidas players who received the custom sole plate for their Adidas Ace Boots are Mesut Özil, Manuel Neuer and Xabi Alonso. (If we missed any, let us know in the comments below.)
