Revealed: Liverpool Used Tape To Hide Sponsor Logo UEFA Champions League Final

If you watched the UEFA Champions League final between Liverpool FC and Tottenham Hotspur yesterday night, you might have noticed that there something was strange with the kits worn by many Liverpool players.

Liverpool FC Uses Tape To Hide Not-Allowed Sleeve Sponsor

Many Liverpool players such as Salah, Mane and Firmino wore kits which featured red tape on the left sleeve, something that is not a regular feature of New Balance's Liverpool kits.

The reason for what he tape on Liverpool's kit is simple - it hides the Western Union sleeve logo - sleeve sponsor are not allowed in UEFA competitions. The likely reason why they did just not use new kits might be that New Balance / the club had run out of kits - something that is actually hard to imagine in today's billion dollar football business.
