As per Valencia CF specialists Tribuna Deportiva, La Liga is preparing a special retro-themed matchday in March, with all 42 professional clubs set to wear historically inspired shirts from the 20th century. The initiative will see Spanish football look back to its roots, with every team taking to the pitch in retro designs.
Footy Headlines cannot confirm the news yet. Indeed, it seems unlikely that every team will wear a retro kit in a match - this would require every brand to produce a retro kit, with many potential issues (different supplier, different/no sponsor). For us, this rumor, thefore, seems unlikely.
According to Tribuna Deportiva, the concept would also cover Match balls, TV graphics, scoreboards and the broadcast style to adopt a classic look to recreate the atmosphere of past decades, both in stadiums and on television.

For Valencia CF, the round will coincide with the club’s 107th anniversary, adding extra significance. The retro kits are reported to be unveiled jointly on 19 March, with the themed matchday taking place towards the end of the season.

The idea is nothing new - in 2022, the president of the South American football federation, Alejandro Domínguez, suggested retro kits for the FIFA 2030 World Cup, which celebrates the 100th anniversary in 2030.
