Chelsea is set to announce Oracle as their new front-of-shirt sponsor, ending an 18-month wait for a major deal (first reported by The Chelsea Chronicle). The announcement is expected after the international break, likely ahead of the club's Champions League clash with Barcelona on November 25 or the Arsenal match on 30 November.
Oracle is an American multinational software company with a market capitalization of around £470 billion, making it one of the world's most valuable corporations. The company was co-founded by Larry Ellison in 1977, who is currently the world's second-richest person.
Oracle to Become Chelsea Main Kit Sponsor
Chelsea have been without a permanent front-of-shirt sponsor since the start of the 2024-25 season. DAMAC Properties served as a temporary partner but the club had been targeting a deal worth around £60 million per year. However, as per sponsorship insider Lu_Class_, Oracle will pay significantly less than the club initially expected.
The deal comes at a crucial time for Chelsea, which recently settled Financial and Sustainability Regulation breaches with UEFA and paid £27.5 million in fines. A major sponsorship deal helps balance the club's revenue against football costs. Interestingly, Oracle recently partnered with FPT, the IT firm that was announced as Chelsea's shirt sleeve sponsor last week.
