What if football was already a thing in ancient Greece? Independent soccer kit brand Icarus has imagined a fictional Ancient Greek football league and created kits for 24 teams.
Icarus are a design-focused brand that was founded in 2017 to provide teams with creative and personal apparel. Icarus previously released one-off historic kits for FC Stroitel Pripyat and a 'Mesopotamian League', but with the new Ancient Greece collection, they have taken it to another, even higher level.
Hellinic League of Champions Kits
The Hellinic League of Champions is a fantasy tournament set in ancient Greece. Each kit is designed to reflect the history and culture of the team's region. This is the most elaborate collection Icarus FC has ever produced, with 24 kits representing 24 fictional ancient Greek football teams.
According to Icarus, "they're as full of niche football callbacks as they are with references that'll make any classics professor nod their head".
