Is Robin van Persie's return to Adidas finally being officialized? After mostly wearing unbranded Adidas cleats over the last year, the Netherlands striker switched to the orange Adidas X Leather boots in the last match, a great fit with the orange Netherlands jersey.
Van Persie Makes Switch to Adidas X 15 Leather Cleats
Robin van Persie wore the Adidas X in this week's Euro 2016 qualifier against the Czech Republic.
Robin van Persie made the switch to the Solar Orange Adidas X Leather boots in the Netherlands' last Euro 2016 qualifier against the Czech Republic. In the previous game against Kazakhstan, the former Manchester United and current Fenerbahce forward had laced up in his trademark custom blackout Adidas boots.
Contrary to other top Adidas athletes like Bastian Schweinsteiger and Theo Walcott, Robin van Persie hasn't received a heavily customized or camouflaged X soccer cleat from Adidas.
Instead, van Persie's orange Adidas X 2015 Leather football boots appear to be exactly the same as what you could get instore, evidenced by the very unique stitching pattern in the forefoot area and the silo's iconic soleplate.
